Children's Helpline

The helpline is primarily for the use of children. However, adults can also use the helpline to report on child related issues.

The children’s helpline was established in the 1990s as a 6-digit number and there after changed to the 7-digit number. In 2018, the concluding observation of the combined fifth and sixth period reports of Seychelles to the Convention on the Rights of the Child recommended that Seychelles merge the existing local helpline into a free three-digit national helpline. Following this recommendation, the 3-digit helpline came into effect in November 2021 making it more accessible to children.

Going forward the Social Affairs Department remains dedicated to ensure good service delivery through the helpline
