As we come together to celebrate the 64th Universal Children’s Day under the theme “For every child, every right,” we renew our commitment to a world where every child, without exception, is given the opportunity to grow, learn, and reach their full potential.
This day reminds us of the tremendous value each child holds and our collective responsibility to uphold and protect their rights.
Inclusion is more than a policy or a practice—it is a fundamental right. It represents the bedrock of a society that honors every individual and ensures that no child is left behind. Wherever a child may be—in a classroom, at play, or within their community—they have the right to be respected, to feel valued, and to be fully included.
Our commitment extends to all children, including those with disabilities, those from diverse cultural backgrounds, and those in marginalized communities. We are dedicated to creating an environment where every child experiences equality, dignity, and opportunity. This means breaking down barriers, fostering understanding, and building a world where all children have the resources and encouragement they need to succeed.
To the children, I say: Be proud of who you are. Celebrate the unique qualities you bring to the world, for these are your strengths. Our diversity is what makes us stronger. When we open our hearts and minds to each other, we build a future that is more compassionate, more just, and more inclusive for everyone.
To parents, educators, and communities—thank you for the vital role you play. Let us continue to work hand in hand, ensuring the message of ‘’every child, every right’’ reaches every corner of society. Together, we can create a world where every child is valued, heard, and given the chance to shine.
Children, may today be filled with joy, laughter, and the happiness you deserve. Let us celebrate you and the boundless possibilities that lie ahead.
Happy Universal Children’s Day Children of Seychelles!
